Terms & conditions
These govern the website and nothing else. A licence for a Westra product and a services engagement each have their own signed agreement, and those are the documents that bind us.
Read clause 2 first if you are evaluating Westra in a procurement. It is the one that says what this page is not, and it is there so that nothing here can be mistaken for a commitment we have not made in writing to you.
This page applies to the westra.dev website. It does not govern Westra's products or any system we build for a client; those are covered by the contract signed for them.
Effective 20 September 2026
1These terms
- 1.1These terms govern your use of the website at westra.dev, which Westra operates. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
- 1.2"Westra", "we" and "us" mean the operator of this website. "You" means the person using it. "The site" means westra.dev and everything published on it.
- 1.3We may change these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, and the effective date above is the date it took effect. Using the site after a change means you accept the changed version.
- 1.1
2What these terms do not cover
- 2.1Nothing on this site is an offer, a quotation, a tender or a commitment to contract. Nothing on it may be treated as a representation in a procurement unless we have given it to you in writing in that procurement.
- 2.2Licences to Westra products and services engagements are governed by the agreement signed for them: a licence agreement, a statement of work, a purchase order we have accepted, a contract awarded under a tender, or whatever else the parties put their names to. Those agreements deal with scope, warranties, service levels, liability, indemnity, data processing and termination. These terms do not, and nothing on this page limits, extends or varies them.
- 2.3Where these terms and a signed agreement differ on anything to do with a product or an engagement, the signed agreement governs.
- 2.4The product and service descriptions on this site tell you what the software does. They are descriptive. They are not a specification, not a warranty and not a statement of what any particular deployment will include.
- 2.1
3How you may use the site
- 3.1You may read the site, quote it with attribution, link to it, and print or save a copy for your own use, including for an internal evaluation or a procurement file. You do not need our permission for any of that.
- 3.2You may not present the content of this site as your own work.
- 3.3You may not use the site, or anything on it, to suggest an endorsement, a partnership, a reseller relationship or an empanelment that does not exist.
- 3.4You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or to any system or network connected to it, interfere with its operation, or test its security without our written permission. Ask first and we will usually say yes.
- 3.5You may not scrape, mine or systematically extract the site in order to build a dataset or train a model, and you may not use automated means that place an unreasonable load on it.
- 3.6You may not use the site in a way that breaks any law in force in India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
- 3.1
4Intellectual property
- 4.1The text, images, code, page designs and product interface mockups on this site belong to Westra or to its licensors, and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and other applicable law.
- 4.2“Westra” and the product names Copilot, Juris, Nexus, Fulcrum, Tenure, Civis, Dossier and Lumen are marks Westra uses in relation to its software. Nothing on this site grants you a licence or a right to use any of them. This page makes no statement about the registration status of any mark, and you should not infer one.
- 4.3Where we name a standard, a statute, a government service or another company's product, we do so to describe a fact or an integration. Those names belong to whoever owns them. Naming one is not a claim of a relationship with its owner, and it is not an endorsement by them.
- 4.1
5The site itself
- 5.1The site is provided as it is and as available. We keep it current as best we can, but we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate, uninterrupted or free of error, and we change it without notice.
- 5.2To the extent the law allows, we exclude the warranties, conditions and other terms that statute or common law would otherwise imply in relation to this website. This does not touch any warranty given in a signed agreement, which is dealt with at clause 2.
- 5.3We may change, suspend or withdraw the site, or any part of it, at any time and without notice, and we do not undertake that it will be available at any particular moment.
- 5.4We may block access from an address or a network that we reasonably believe is being used in breach of clause 3.
- 5.1
6Liability
- 6.1To the extent the law allows, Westra is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, arising out of your use of this website or your reliance on anything published on it.
- 6.2Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- 6.3Liability arising under a signed agreement is governed by the limitation of liability in that agreement, not by this clause.
- 6.1
7Links to sites we do not run
- 7.1Where we link to a website we do not operate, we do so because it is useful. We do not control it, we are not responsible for its content or for what it does with your data, and a link is not an endorsement.
- 7.2Your use of such a site is governed by its own terms and its own privacy notice, not by these.
- 7.1
8Privacy
- 8.1The privacy policy explains what personal data this website collects, the basis on which we hold it, and how long each kind of data is kept. It forms part of these terms.
- 8.1
9General
- 9.1These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of them or out of your use of this website, whether contractual or not, are governed by the laws of India.
- 9.2The courts of competent jurisdiction in India have jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim.
- 9.3If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the rest continues in force.
- 9.4A delay or a failure by either of us to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- 9.5These terms and the privacy policy are the whole of what governs your use of this website. What governs anything else is dealt with at clause 2.
- 9.1
Questions
If you need the contract terms rather than the website terms, ask and we will send them. Tell us which product or which engagement and we will send the right document rather than a pack of them.
